[ɔ̃ːd martə'no; französisch onde »Welle«] Plural, Ondes musicales [-myzi'kal], ein von Maurice Martenot (* 1898, ✝ 1980) 1928 konstruiertes einstimmiges elektronisches Tasteninstrument, bei dem die Klangerzeugung nach dem Prinzip des Schwebungssummers erfolgt; die Tonhöhe wurde anfangs über einen Zugdraht gesteuert, ab den 1940er-Jahren über eine Tastatur. Komponisten wie O. Messiaen (»Trois petites liturgies de la Présence Divine«, 1945) und A. Jolivet (»Konzert für Ondes Martenot und Orchester«, 1947) haben für Ondes Martenot geschrieben, v. a. aber findet das Instrument Verwendung für effektvolle Bühnen- und Filmmusiken.
